About
Joseph Domenico Giacomini had grown up in the family business, Lucca Delicatessens, before entering the corporate food and wine world in San Francisco. In 1993, desiring to go back to his "roots", Joe and his wife, Sue, a passionate home chef, left their respective jobs to open Domenico's Delicatessen. With their shared love of food and wine, they set out to create a blend of traditional Italian favorites with a modern twist and an emphasis on healthier ingredients.
From the beginning, their philosophy has been the same, simply seek out the best possible ingredients to craft the highest quality sandwiches, which means hand picking product from top, local and European purveyors, and serving it all up in a customer service driven environment.
In 2003, they opened Domenico's Cafe next door, where its own unique, more compact menu offers hot and cold panini sandwiches using the same incredible meats and cheeses, delivering them to your table. Wine by the glass, craft beer and hot coffee are also enjoyed in the Cafe.

You'll find well over 50 of the worlds best meats and cheeses to choose from, several artisan bakeries delivering daily and fresh, locally grown produce. Add one of our own house made sandwich dressings and you have one of the largest sandwich selections in the Bay Area. In addition to the sandwich menu, Domenico's Delicatessen is home to over 60 original house made salads that rotate daily along with hot pastas and our fabulous soups, which are offered seasonally. Cafe
Welcome to Domenico's Cafe... right next door to the delicatessen, with its own distinct menu and a more relaxed vibe, you can order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. With a unique "twist" on the sandwich, the Cafe offers specialty cold sandwiches, as well as hot grilled panini. We use the same high quality ingredients found in the deli. In addition to espresso, we also serve local craft beers and wines. We have one of the best wine by the glass deals in town! Come, taste and enjoy!
